Amazingly, almost 350 people viewed my blog today. Amazing, because I DON'T KNOW that many people...and on average only 5 comment. Come out of the woodwork, people! Don't be shy.
Dale and I ended up letting Emily go to Laguna Beach to see the tidepools today. She is NOT out of trouble for saying she hates me, however I didn't want to lose out on the $16 field trip fee I had paid! I sat her down and told her she can be MAD, SAD, and DISAPPOINTED in me, but she is NEVER to say she hates me. I think she "got" it, but only time will tell. Dale ended up going with her, as he had been gone over 72 hours, and she was in desperate need of Daddy time. Here are some photos from today!
Okay, the next topic, is Senior Portraits. Stephanie had come to me a week or so ago and told me about a photographer that would like to take pics of her and David for I BELIEVE to be samples for her fliers, future jobs, etc...
I NEVER thought they would turn out like THESE. Take a lookie for yourself at her website, TonyaJoy.com/myjoy/ . Stephanie and David are under the May 29th and 28th blog posts. (You may need to scroll until you get to those dates!) After viewing her work, I emailed her to see if she could take our family portrait this Fall. Besides being totally impressed with her work, she is VERY reasonably priced!
Many of you know how I have being trying to SAVE money, since I am not MAKING money. While I would love to take credit for the deals I post, I can not. I follow people like CARLIE who give examples on the bargains that are out there. Almost a week ago I entered into a contest on her blog, and WON a TON of chip coupons. To say I was thrilled, would be an understatement. You would have thought I had won the lottery. *wink* Thanks Carlie!!!
(this is Emily taking a nap on the mat in my bedroom. The kids LOVE doing this while Dale is at work. )
How can I possibly get rid of this kitty when he LOVES on you and SNUGGLES when you are asleep???? I really, really tried to find his family, but to no avail. I even took him to the vet today to see if he had a microchip....no luck, but he does have a ton-o-earmites. Lovely. The vet thinks he was on the street for a few weeks before we found him. Looks like the kitty hit the jackpot.
When the vet asked what kind of food I fed him, I knew what she was getting at. She was getting ready to give her talk on how I should buy the fancy dancy cat food that they sold. I quickly told her that Yoshi, and the other animals in my care, ate what ever was on sale at the grocery store, and what I had coupons for. Shut her down right there. Take aside the food, I did pay for his shots, and for him to be neutered at 9 am tomorrow. He may not get the good food, but he will be loved.
Alrighty then, that is all for now, til tomorrow....my lil man is in a kinder play in the evening, and my big man got a few hours off to come see him. Yeah Daddy!
