Ever have plans, but then are constantly changing them due to glitches? That was my day yesterday. The plan was to leave late morning and spend the entire day/night in Palm Desert helping my mom celebrate her big day. Well, I didn't leave until after noon, and I came home at 11 pm. I had a GREAT time...took a TON-O-PICTURES that I will, of course, share. Don't want to bore you with JUST commentary.
Anyway....I was late leaving because I had to take Emmy to the Dr. She has an ear infection in both ears. UGH. Regardless, she sat and posed for me in the backyard. Had to snap her pic, as she looked too angelic...which is a rarity. Trust me.
Here is a pic of the bday girl and my dad
And ME and my mom...
We took these in their backyard...where they have added a palapa. (Have tried to add this pic for a half hour now...but am going to give up.)
And this pic was taken around 8:30 of us in jammies/sweats playing cards. She beat me btw....not pretty, considering I TAUGHT her the game a couple hours prior.
A couple weeks prior to this bday celebration day Dale had planned on leaving town with HIS dad to the river to get the boat serviced. Well, when I decided to go visiting with my mom he tried to change the boat appointment time. No dice. However, we DID try last minute. Totally neglected to call when we realized I was leaving town. SO, there was no way Dale would have made it in time if I spent the night. (He was going to drop C and E off at the sitter's at 8 am, then drive 5 hours) Anyway, glitches, remember? Thank goodness I came home, because the sitter called and canceled this morning. The poor thing was up all night with a toothache and was going to the dentist this morning. My HH would have been one cranky boy had he missed HIS appointment. I had such a good time tho...totally worth the driving and extra effort to make HH happy.
Happy Birthday mom...you are a GREAT mother. Love ya!
Awesome pictures of you and your mom! She looks WONDERFUL! Happy Birthday...

Some say that a beautiful smile is hereditary, and the photos of you and your family seem to have proven that true. Your mom still looks gorgeous at 65. Perhaps her secret to staying and looking young is practicing good oral hygiene. Her smile's very captivating. =)
